Famous Parents See Their Children Off to a New School Year in Heartwarming Moments

The first day of the school year brought a familiar mix of nerves, smiles and family photographs for a group of well-known Lithuanian parents. Many of the children posed with gladioli before heading to kindergarten or school, marking the start of a new stage.

For some families, the occasion carried a distinctly nostalgic feeling. Singer Linas Adomaitis and his wife Irma celebrated their daughter’s return to school, recalling that her most popular summer question had been, “When will autumn come?” They said they hoped her enthusiasm for learning would continue throughout the year. A later photograph showed their older daughter with her brother Jokūbas.

Gabrielė Navickė-Vasha described the morning with emotion as her daughter began the final year of primary school. She wished her fourth-grader a successful school year. Racing driver Benediktas Vanagas also shared a photograph with his son outside the school, where the pair appeared remarkably alike.

The start of the year reached families beyond Lithuania as well. Rasa Stonienė, who lives in Dubai, wrote that her children Matukas and Felicytė were beginning a new school and a new stage filled with new experiences. She wished them curiosity, courage and good friends, adding that their parents would remain by their side.

Other families marked the day with humor and practical wishes. Ovidijus and Evelina Petrauskai joked about who was most pleased to see the new school year arrive. Klaipėda makeup artist Anna Beauty wished parents patience and children good health as her family tried kindergarten again. Kaunas resident Gytis Volkavičius also marked Sept. 1 at home with his nontraditional family.
