Farah Dagogo Secures Rivers State Governorship Ticket for ADC

In a significant development for Rivers State politics, former House of Representatives member Farah Dagogo has emerged as the gubernatorial candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the upcoming 2027 elections. His victory in the party's direct primaries, conducted across all 319 wards in the state's 23 local government areas, signals a new dynamic in the state's political landscape.

Dagogo's decisive win, securing a substantial 64,700 votes against his nearest competitor's 9,050, underscores his strong support within the party. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) observed the process, ensuring compliance with the ADC's constitution and guidelines, as confirmed by the Primary Electoral Committee Chairperson, Agu Bryan.
