Farmhouse Housewives Federation Holds 30th Anniversary Ceremony

The National Federation of Farmhouse Housewives (NFFH) marked its 30th anniversary with a celebratory ceremony held on July 24 at the Nonghyup Sangro Center Grand Auditorium in Jung-gu, Seoul. The event, themed '30 Years Together, Tomorrow Together!', brought together over 500 attendees.

Distinguished guests included Kang Ho-dong, Chairman of Nonghyup; lawmakers Song Seok-jun and Lee Gae-ho; Park Soon-yeon, Planning and Coordination Director at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs; Kim In-jung, President of Korea Rural Community Corporation; and Park Min-sook, President of the NFFH, along with national executives and members.

During the ceremony, participants reflected on the federation's founding principles since its establishment in 1996. Awards were presented to outstanding members who have significantly contributed to enhancing the rights of female agricultural workers and advancing rural communities. These accolades recognized their dedicated service over the years.

The NFFH has consistently worked to strengthen the capabilities of women in agriculture, improve rural welfare, and engage in community service activities. These efforts have played a vital role in revitalizing rural communities across the nation.

NFFH President Park Min-sook emphasized the significance of the 30th anniversary, noting that it coincides with the United Nations' designation of this year as the Year of the Woman Farmer. She stated, "The value of agriculture that women farmers have upheld over the past 30 years is becoming a key asset leading the future rural landscape."
