Father, daughter die after falling into abandoned well in Kano

Tragedy struck in Yancibi Village, Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria, when a 45-year-old man and his teenage daughter died after falling into an abandoned dry well. The Kano State Fire Service confirmed the incident, which occurred on the evening of Monday, July 21.

According to the Fire Service statement, the Tsanyawa Fire Service Office received a distress call reporting that Abubakar Abdullahi and his 15-year-old daughter, Fiddausi Abubakar, had fallen into the well. Firefighters from the Tsanyawa branch responded immediately, but rescue efforts were hampered by darkness and difficult conditions at the scene.
