Fau Zaldívar eyes 2026 Delfi Rally of Estonia

Paraguayan rally driver Fau Zaldívar is set to compete in the 2026 Delfi Rally of Estonia, the ninth round of the World Rally Championship (WRC). The 25-year-old driver returns to the WRC circuit after his participation in the Rally of Portugal in May, where he secured a podium in the WRC2 Challenger category.

Navigated by his regular co-driver, the Italian-Argentine Marcelo der Ohannesian, Zaldívar will pilot the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 #24. He aims to improve upon his ninth-place finish in the WRC2 category from the previous year's event. Zaldívar is the sole representative from Paraguay in this rally, which will feature 53 crews starting on Friday.

Zaldívar's recent racing history includes a victory at the Rally del Guairá and participation in the Bauhaus Royal Rally Of Scandinavia 2026 in Sweden for the European Rally Championship (ERC). These events in May served as preparation for the Estonian rally, known for being one of the fastest on the calendar, similar to the Finnish rally. The Delfi Rally of Estonia 2026 comprises 18 special stages covering a total distance of 301.8 kilometers, with the shakedown scheduled for Friday in Kastre.
