FC Anyang's Matheus Named K League 1 Player of the Round 25

FC Anyang's Brazilian attacker, Matheus, has earned the prestigious K League 1 Player of the Round 25 award, recognizing his pivotal role in securing a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory against Incheon United. The recognition highlights his exceptional skill and contribution to his team's success in the recent league fixtures.

Matheus was instrumental in turning the tide of the match. After Anyang conceded the opening goal in the 40th minute, he responded with the equalizer just before the halftime whistle. In the second half, with the game hanging in the balance, Matheus sealed the win for Anyang with a spectacular left-footed free-kick in the 80th minute, completing his brace and securing all three points for his club.

Beyond the individual accolade, the Korean Professional Football League also announced the Best Team for Round 25. This honor went to Daejeon Hana Citizen, who achieved a thrilling 2-1 victory over Ulsan HD in a closely contested match.
