FC Argeș Draws at Home with Farul Constanța, Remains Top of Superliga

FC Argeș secured a 1-1 draw against Farul Constanța in a top-of-the-table clash in the Romanian Superliga's fifth round. The result allowed FC Argeș to retain their first-place position in the league, a spot they haven't held for 29 years.

FC Argeș took the lead in the 18th minute when Robert Moldoveanu's shot from 22 meters, deflected by Victor Dican after a free-kick, found the net. However, Farul Constanța responded quickly, with Eduard Radaslavescu scoring the equalizer in the 22nd minute from the edge of the penalty area.

Despite conceding, Farul Constanța became the more dangerous side, creating several opportunities through Iustin Doicaru and Radaslavescu, but FC Argeș goalkeeper Cătălin Căbuz made crucial saves to deny them.

In another match, Petrolul Ploiești secured an away victory, defeating newly promoted FC Voluntari 2-1. Alejandro Bran Flores opened the scoring for Petrolul in the 9th minute from a penalty. FC Voluntari equalized through Mihai Alexandru Roman in the 19th minute, but Breston Malula scored the winning goal for Petrolul in the 71st minute with a header from a corner.
