Federal Government and San Luis Potosí Reinforce Security Strategy, Intensify Highway Operations

Federal and San Luis Potosí authorities are strengthening their security strategy by increasing joint operations on highways, strategic zones, and priority areas within the state. This enhanced coordination aims to combat high-impact crimes and bolster overall security.

Following a meeting with Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection Omar García Harfuch, Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona stated that this collaboration is key to maintaining San Luis Potosí as one of the nation's safest states. The intensified operations will involve rapid response units from the National Guard, the Secretariat of National Defense, state corporations, and prosecutor's offices to improve surveillance and response capabilities.

Gallardo Cardona emphasized that the ongoing partnership with the federal government has been instrumental in reducing high-impact crime rates, preserving social peace, and ensuring greater security for families across the state's four regions. State officials maintain constant communication with federal authorities to monitor operations, track priority targets, and implement surveillance measures, with particular focus on high-traffic zones, road corridors, economic growth areas, and locations requiring consistent institutional presence.

The governor affirmed that the collaboration with García Harfuch and federal institutions reinforces a strategy built on intelligence, coordination, and rapid response to protect the population. The state government is committed to working jointly with the federation to expand the presence of security forces, enhance institutional response, and consolidate the reduction of high-impact crimes for the benefit of San Luis Potosí's residents.
