Federal government partners with Sinaloa governor on security and governance plan

Sinaloa's interim governor, Graciela Domínguez Nava, revealed that her administration is working closely with a liaison from the Mexican Presidency to develop a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing security and governance within the state. This initiative seeks to address pressing concerns and restore confidence among the residents of Sinaloa.

The core objectives of the plan are twofold: to return a sense of tranquility to the people of Sinaloa and to intensify efforts supporting economic recovery. Governor Domínguez Nava highlighted the "close relationship" with the federal team assigned to the state, stating that they are working "at full speed" to formulate strategies that will reinforce the government's actions and ensure public safety across all spaces.

Today Sinaloa needs all the strength of the Mexican State, coordination, intelligence, social policy, attention to causes, and institutional capacity to fully recover tranquility.

Progress on the implementation of these strategies is expected to be presented soon, with a focus on making citizens feel secure in public areas. The governor also stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of insecurity through coordinated public safety policies with the federal government. This includes deepening support for economic recovery and tackling social issues.

Governor Domínguez Nava assured that her mandate would be inclusive, with "open doors" to listen to all voices, regardless of political affiliation. She plans to engage with federal deputies, senators, and various social sectors across Sinaloa's 20 municipalities. Since assuming office to complete the term of Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, Domínguez Nava has identified peace in Sinaloa as her top priority, pledging "absolute coordination" with President Claudia Sheinbaum's administration to achieve this goal.
