Fedor Rose reappointed digital commissioner in Rhineland-Palatinate

Fedor Rose, the finance secretary for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, has been reappointed as the state government's commissioner for information technology and digitalization. The Ministry of Finance in Mainz announced the decision.

Rose, a member of the SPD party, previously served in this role between 2021 and 2024. He then became head of the State Chancellery under then-Minister President Alexander Schweitzer. Following the recent formation of a coalition between the CDU and SPD, Rose transitioned to his current role as secretary in the Ministry of Finance.

In his new capacity as Digital Commissioner, Rose will also take over the responsibilities previously held by Denis Alt, who has moved to become state secretary in the Ministry for Municipalities, Construction, Housing, and Culture. Rose's mandate includes advancing the planning and management of the digital transformation within the state administration.

The Ministry of Finance stated that Rose will also be tasked with further developing the state's digitalization strategy. His reappointment signifies a continued focus on modernizing state services and improving digital infrastructure within Rhineland-Palatinate.
