Bai Bingbing, who shares the same birth year as Fei Yu-ching and affectionately calls him "Tingting," praised him as a low-key and kind individual. She revealed a unique detail about his life: Fei Yu-ching's "secret base" for confiding his troubles was a pigsty. He would talk to the pigs when he felt down, finding solace in their silent company and even giving them names.

Yang Fan recalled their past collaborations on restaurant shows, describing Fei Yu-ching as a "night owl." He recounted late-night calls and impromptu visits to play mahjong, followed by late-night meals and activities like fishing and picking guavas that lasted until dawn. Bai Bingbing also experienced these late-night visits, particularly during a difficult period after the loss of her daughter. For three months, Fei Yu-ching visited almost daily, offering conversation and jokes to help ease her pain. Her mother even mistook his frequent visits for a romantic pursuit.

While Fei Yu-ching's contact with Bai Bingbing is less frequent since his retirement, their bond remains strong. When asked about inviting him on her show, Bai Bingbing chuckled, describing him as a "free spirit." Respecting his decision to retire, she expressed no intention to pressure him, instead hoping for a simple tea gathering at her home soon.
