Femi Azeez undergoes Brighton medical ahead of potential £15 million move

Femi Azeez is undergoing a medical ahead of a move from Millwall to Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal that could reach £15 million. The reported package includes a £12.5 million transfer fee and more than £2.5 million in performance-related add-ons.

The 25-year-old has received permission from Millwall to complete the medical and is expected to sign a contract running through June 2030. Brighton would also hold an option to extend the agreement for another season.

Brighton previously had two bids rejected by Millwall, which initially valued the winger at £15 million. Azeez was understood to want the move to the Premier League club.

The former Reading player scored 11 goals and supplied eight assists in 35 Championship appearances during the 2025/26 campaign. His performances earned selection for both the Championship Team of the Year and the PFA Team of the Year.

Azeez also made his Nigeria debut under coach Eric Chelle. He scored twice against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup and assisted in the final against Jamaica, helping the Super Eagles retain the trophy. Millwall signed him from Reading for about £1 million in 2024, so the transfer would bring the Championship club a substantial profit.
