Fenerbahçe candidate Safi announces two national team signings, eyes two world stars

Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Safi has signaled a strong transfer window ahead, announcing agreements with two national team players and expressing confidence in securing two, possibly three, international stars. Safi aims to bring championship success to the club, stating his vision will become clear in the final week of the campaign.

Safi also took aim at a rival candidate, Aziz Yıldırım, for what he described as an unfair strategy of discrediting former coach Aykut Kocaman to gain votes. He argued that tarnishing the reputation of a significant club figure is inappropriate.

Addressing specific player rumors, Safi clarified his position on several high-profile names. He confirmed meeting with Ademola Lookman in the winter but stated the player is no longer a target. Similarly, after observing Rafael Leao, Safi concluded the player was not a fit for Fenerbahçe. However, Safi revealed he is actively pursuing Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund, even claiming to have met with the player and planning further discussions. He contrasted this with a rival's alleged agreement with Vedat Muriqi, framing the pursuit of Guirassy as a competitive endeavor.
