Fenerbahçe elects Aziz Yıldırım as president; new board vows championship pursuit

Aziz Yıldırım has been re-elected as the president of the Fenerbahçe Club, securing a significant victory in the recent elections. Following the results, Mahmut Uslu, who is part of Yıldırım's newly formed management list, shared key insights with NOW Spor regarding the election outcome and the club's future.

Uslu highlighted the unprecedented level of participation in the election, with 17,245 votes cast. He stated that this record turnout places a substantial responsibility on the new board. "This gives us greater responsibility. Now it's time for the championship. We will do everything for it," Uslu remarked, underscoring that the primary objective for the new term is to lead Fenerbahçe back to championship glory.

Emphasizing the need for unity within the club, Uslu called for all Fenerbahçe supporters to come together. "Now, without divisions, we will all carry this together and bring the championship to Fenerbahçe. We will increase Turkey's happiness rate, we strongly believe in this," he expressed. The new management aims to unite all factions of the Fenerbahçe community around their common goal.

Reflecting on the election atmosphere, Uslu noted that the support felt on the field and in the stands translated into the final results. He mentioned that their internal projections were around a 65-35 split, and the "flood of love" and prevailing sentiment confirmed their expectations. "It turned out to be correct," he added.

When questioned about transfer rumors, specifically concerning Vedat Muriç, Uslu remained cautious, stating, "Nothing can be announced before receiving the mandate." This indicates that official transfer news will only be released after the formal confirmation of the new board's authority.
