Fenerbahçe presidential candidate claims agreement with striker Luis Suárez

Hakan Safi, a candidate for the Fenerbahçe presidency, has announced a significant transfer development, claiming an agreement has been reached with Sporting Lisbon's Colombian striker Luis Suárez.

According to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Safi has also agreed on a 3+1 year contract with Suárez. The 28-year-old Colombian international has been in impressive form for Sporting Lisbon, contributing to 47 goals in 53 appearances last season with 38 goals and 9 assists. His current contract with Sporting runs until June 30, 2030, and his market value is estimated at 30 million euros.

Suárez transferred to Sporting from Almería last summer for €22.95 million. The striker is currently at a career peak, having reached his highest market value. Safi's announcement aims to bolster his campaign by signaling strong transfer intentions should he win the presidency.
