Fenerbahçe reportedly interested in Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong

Turkish football club Fenerbahçe is reportedly intensifying its transfer activities as it prepares for the Champions League group stages, with a focus on reinforcing its defensive line. Social media rumors suggest that the Istanbul-based club has identified Kojo Peprah Oppong as a potential target to bolster their center-back position.

Kojo Peprah Oppong, born in Ghana on June 4, 2004, is a young defender currently playing for OGC Nice in France's Ligue 1. His career began in Ghana with Attram De Visser before he moved to Sweden in 2023, signing with IFK Norrköping. During his time in Sweden, he made sixteen league appearances without scoring. He was subsequently loaned to GIF Sundsvall in the summer of the same year, where he played thirty-eight league matches, also without finding the net.

In a significant career move, Oppong transferred to OGC Nice prior to the 2025-26 season. His international career also saw a notable development when he received his first call-up to the Ghana senior national team in October 2025. He made his debut on October 12, 2025, in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Comoros, held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
