Fenerbahçe targets English winger Jonathan Rowe

Turkish club Fenerbahçe is reportedly targeting 23-year-old English winger Jonathan Rowe to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The Istanbul-based team, which has already added players like Mason Greenwood, Vedat Muriqi, Nathan Ake, and Romelu Lukaku, began their Süper Lig campaign with a loss to Gençlerbirliği.

According to Italian sports publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fenerbahçe is keen on acquiring Rowe. Born Jonathan David Henry Rowe on April 30, 2003, the player represents England internationally and has featured for the England U21 team, as well as playing for Bologna.

Rowe developed his youth career at Norwich City, signing his first professional contract in October 2021. He was loaned to Ligue 1 club Marseille for the 2024-2025 season with a compulsory purchase option of €15 million, including bonuses. Following his loan spell, Rowe signed with Italian Serie A club Bologna on August 24, 2025.

Although born in England, Rowe has Jamaican heritage and holds both British and Jamaican citizenship. He received his first call-up to the England U21 squad in October 2023 for European Championship qualifiers against Serbia and Ukraine.
