Fernandez ready to face Coventry as Haaland joins Maresca’s new City captains

Enzo Fernandez is ready to make his Manchester City debut against Coventry City, and manager Enzo Maresca already knows what he expects from the club’s new record signing.

Fernandez worked with Maresca at Chelsea before joining City for a reported British record-equalling fee of £125 million ($168.70 million). Maresca said the midfielder is available for Saturday’s match against the promoted side.

City have also named four captains following Bernardo Silva’s close-season departure. Last season’s leading scorer Haaland will share the role with Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi and Gianluigi Donnarumma.
