Field Fire Spreads to Olive Grove in Turkey's Aydın Province

A fire erupted in a field near the Hallaçlar neighborhood in Aydın's Çine district on Tuesday afternoon, quickly escalating due to strong winds. The blaze began around 4:00 PM near the roadside, with initial reports indicating it started as a grass fire.

The strong winds fanned the flames, causing them to spread rapidly towards a nearby olive grove. The fire subsequently ignited hay bales stored near a barn within the grove, adding to the intensity of the situation.

Upon receiving the alert, multiple fire crews were immediately dispatched to the location. In a show of community support, passing drivers noticed the fire and pulled over. They actively assisted in combating the flames by using water from large containers that had been placed along the roadside by the Forest Management Directorate.

Aerial intervention was also initiated to help control the fire, indicating the seriousness of the situation and the coordinated efforts to extinguish the blaze. The incident highlights the risks associated with dry vegetation and windy conditions in the region.
