Fiji Bati coach sees potential in local league talent

Fiji Bati head coach Mick Potter believes the country’s local rugby league competition is producing players who could eventually challenge for national selection.

Potter has also been tracking Fijian players in Australia and England, as well as in Queensland and New South Wales. But assessing their current form has proved difficult because video footage is not always available.

The coach’s comments point to a wider talent pool for Fiji, with domestic competition offering another route into the national team.
