Fiji Pearls name 30-player squad for August Invitational ahead of World Cup qualifiers

Netball Fiji has unveiled a preliminary 30-member squad for the upcoming August Invitational tournament. This competition serves as a critical platform for identifying and selecting the final team that will represent Fiji in the Netball World Cup qualifiers.

The announced squad reflects a strategic blend of talent, incorporating players from both within Fiji and those based overseas. This international representation spans Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Dubai, underscoring the growing depth and talent pool available to the national program.

Notable players named include Elina Drikibau, Ilisapeci Adrole, and Maria Lutua-Rusivakula, among others. The selection process is rigorous, with the final 12-member squad, along with three non-travelling reserves, set to be determined following the August Invitational tournament.

This announcement comes as the Crest Fiji Pearls intensify their preparations for the qualifiers.
