Fiji's Prime Minister's Business Awards Applications Open for 2026

Fijian businesses are invited to apply for the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards 2026, with applications now open. The awards focus on “Economic Transformation and Inclusive Growth,” urging local companies to move beyond established sectors and cultivate new strengths.

Investment Fiji, the government's investment arm, explained that economic transformation involves diversifying from reliance on sugar and basic tourism. The goal is to build industries like business process outsourcing, agri-tech, and green energy. Furthermore, it emphasizes leveraging digital tools to enhance the global competitiveness of Fijian products and services. The initiative also aims to spread economic growth beyond major centers like Suva and Nadi to rural and maritime regions.

This year's awards will feature a Supreme Award for the overall best performer, who must demonstrate success across multiple areas including job creation, innovation, service excellence, social responsibility, adaptation, resilience, and sustainability. In addition to the Supreme Award, there are three general categories and 12 special awards. The entire application process is conducted online through the awards website, www.iba.org.fj, where interested businesses can find the ‘Apply Now’ tab to submit their entries.
