Croatian heavyweight boxer Filip Hrgović is set to face his toughest challenge yet as he competes for the IBF world title against undefeated British prospect Moses Itauma at London's O2 Arena. The 21-year-old Itauma is widely considered a significant talent in the boxing world, but Hrgović, known as 'El Animal,' feels the world is against him and is determined to prove doubters wrong.

Hrgović enters the bout significantly lighter than usual, tipping the scales at 107.1 kilograms (236.1 lbs). This marks his lowest professional weight, indicating a strategic shift towards enhanced movement and stamina, potentially preparing for a grueling, endurance-based contest. In contrast, Itauma weighed in at 109.6 kilograms (241.6 lbs), a figure consistent with his previous fights.

The pre-fight weigh-in was not without incident. Following a verbal exchange, Hrgović turned his back to display his physique to the crowd. Itauma then shoved Hrgović from a raised platform, causing him to fall. Hrgović quickly regained his footing and retaliated by slapping the younger boxer over security guards before the two were separated.

Despite Itauma's perceived explosiveness, Hrgović's greater experience in the professional ranks could prove to be a significant advantage in this high-stakes championship bout. The fight is scheduled for August 28th.
