Filmmaker Aziz M Osman's Daughter, 15, Becomes Youngest University Student in Malaysia

At just 15 years old, Puteri Nur Azzahra, affectionately known as Ara, has become the youngest student at Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM) in Melaka. The daughter of renowned filmmaker Aziz M Osman and former actress Puteri Lily Lokman, Ara is set to commence her academic journey in a foundation program.

Ara will begin her one-year foundation studies on July 23, with plans to pursue a degree afterward. While she harbors ambitions of obtaining two degrees and has a leaning towards medicine, current entry requirements necessitate she completes her foundation year first. The minimum age for medical studies is 18, meaning Ara will explore other fields initially, pending discussions with university faculty.

Her mother, Puteri Lily Lokman, shared her pride in Ara's achievement but also expressed maternal concerns about the long academic path ahead. Lokman has consistently advised Ara to strive for her best and remain unsatisfied with her current accomplishments. Despite Ara's desire to study abroad, Lokman prefers her daughter to remain closer to home for now, to ease her transition into university life and provide ongoing guidance, particularly to avoid cultural shock.
