Final Aceh Hajj Group Returns, Completing 2026 Pilgrimage

The final contingent of Hajj pilgrims from Aceh for the 2026 season has successfully returned to their homeland. The last group, identified as kloter 14 BTJ, arrived at Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Banda Aceh on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, marking the completion of the Hajj return journey for the province.

In total, 5,463 Hajj pilgrims from Aceh participated in the 2026 pilgrimage and have now all returned. They were organized into 14 distinct groups, or kloters, for their travel arrangements. The arrival of the final kloter signifies the successful conclusion of their spiritual journey and their safe return to Indonesia.

Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, was present at the airport to greet the pilgrims of the final Aceh kloter. His presence underscored the government's attention to the well-being and smooth return of all Hajj participants. The pilgrims were seen disembarking the aircraft, some assisted with wheelchairs, carrying their luggage as they were welcomed back.
