Final girder installed for LRT Jakarta Phase 1B over Manggarai DDT

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) has successfully installed the final girder for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Jakarta Phase 1B project, a significant step in the Velodrome-Manggarai corridor development. The last girder was precisely placed above the Manggarai double-double track (DDT) area in South Jakarta, a location identified as a critical point throughout the project.

Jakpro's President Director, Iwan Takwin, highlighted the Manggarai DDT area as a focal point of attention since the project's inception. The LRT tracks are being constructed directly above existing, high-traffic railway lines. This necessitated careful planning to ensure the girder installation did not disrupt the continuous operation of the railway services.

"The Manggarai DDT area is the final critical point in the construction of LRT Jakarta Phase 1B," Takwin stated in a press release on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The successful completion of this installation signifies that all girder lifting work along the Velodrome-Manggarai corridor is now 100% connected.

This achievement marks the conclusion of one of the most demanding construction stages for LRT Jakarta Phase 1B. Takwin emphasized that the success was not only due to technical construction expertise but also strong coordination for safety with the ongoing railway operations. The project aims to enhance public transportation in the capital city.
