Finance Commission to Review US$100 Million Loan for Secondary Education Expansion

The Finance Commission of the Congress of the Republic is set to review a significant loan request of US$100 million from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). This financial injection is earmarked for the "Program to Support the Expansion of Secondary Education," a critical initiative aimed at bolstering educational opportunities across Guatemala.

The Ministry of Education (Mineduc) will spearhead the program, focusing on expanding access to secondary education, upgrading school infrastructure, and integrating modern educational resources and technology.
