Fines Issued in Naryn Region for Misuse of Pasture Lands

In the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan, local authorities have imposed fines totaling 45,000 Kyrgyz soms on herders for the unauthorized and detrimental use of pasture lands. The Regional Department of the Land and Water Resources Supervision Service conducted an inspection in the Uchkun ayil aimak of Naryn district, uncovering violations related to pasture degradation and misuse.

The inspection revealed that herders from the Uchkun ayil aimak disregarded the approved schedule for rotational grazing, managed by the municipal enterprise "Jashyl Uchkun." Instead, they continued illegal livestock grazing on the internal spring-summer and winter pastures within the Choy-Jap tract. This non-compliance with land use regulations has led to administrative penalties under Article 252 of the Kyrgyz Republic's Code of правонарушениях (Offenses).

Officials from the Land and Water Resources Supervision Service are using this enforcement action to reiterate the importance of strict adherence to pasture use laws. They emphasize the need for rational land management and the prevention of pasture degradation to ensure the sustainability of these vital agricultural resources. The fines serve as a warning to herders to comply with established schedules and regulations governing the use of grazing lands.
