Finland Considers Tiered Drone Threat Warnings, Potential Official Orders

Finland is exploring a new approach to drone threat warnings, potentially introducing a tiered system that could escalate from recommendations to official mandates. Interior Minister Mari Rantanen and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo announced that this consideration is currently in progress, with the government evaluating where official orders might be necessary alongside existing recommendations.

Simultaneously, potential legislative adjustments are being assessed, though Orpo offered no specific details, promising further information later. A key point of discussion involves employee rights to continued pay during periods of drone threats and official advisories. This issue is slated for discussion with labor market parties, with Orpo emphasizing the need for a rapid resolution.
