Finnish Rap Artist Pyhimys Cancels Shows Due to Burnout

Finnish rap artist Pyhimys, real name Mikko Kuoppala, has announced he is taking a leave of absence due to burnout, leading to the cancellation of all his scheduled performances. The artist, who performs both solo and as a member of the group Teflon Brothers, shared his condition via a WhatsApp status update.

Following the announcement, Pyhimys's artist page was removed from the website of his management agency, All Day Agency. This move comes as the artist cited burnout as the reason for his withdrawal from public performances. His solo career has been largely inactive since a major concert in 2022, though Teflon Brothers has remained active.

Despite Pyhimys's absence, Teflon Brothers plans to continue with their tour as scheduled, albeit without him. The group's agency lists 16 concerts planned between July 9 and November 1. Pyhimys's recent solo performances had sometimes caused confusion, with his appearances at Teflon Brothers concerts appearing erratic. However, he previously explained these as parodic performances. Several of his solo shows, including one at the Downtown Calling festival in Helsinki and another at Allas Live, have been canceled.
