Fire at Seoul apartment forces 20 residents to evacuate; no injuries reported

A fire erupted at the Hanyang Apartment in Apgujeong-dong, southern Seoul, forcing approximately 20 residents to evacuate. Firefighters responded promptly to the scene, but the blaze was not fully extinguished as of Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported at around 10:27 AM, according to the Gangnam Fire Station. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to bring the main flames under control by 10:49 AM. However, efforts to completely extinguish the fire were ongoing.

Initial reports indicate that the fire originated in one of the apartment units. While about 20 residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure, fortunately, no injuries have been reported thus far. Fire officials are currently investigating the precise origin and cause of the blaze.
