Fire Contained at Belgrade's 'Galerija' Shopping Center

Firefighters have successfully contained a blaze that erupted at the 'Galerija' shopping center, a prominent establishment in Belgrade's Waterfront district. The fire, which originated on the first floor of the modern complex, prompted a swift response from emergency services.

Around 18:30, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that the fire had been localized. The operation involved a significant deployment of resources, with five fire trucks and a team of 22 firefighters working to bring the situation under control. Their efforts prevented the fire from spreading further within the large shopping center.

Fortunately, initial reports indicate that no individuals sustained any injuries as a result of the incident. Occupants of the shopping center were able to evacuate the premises voluntarily and without assistance from emergency medical services. The absence of injuries underscores the effectiveness of the evacuation procedures and the rapid containment of the fire.
