Fire destroys campervan workshop and vehicles in Cheonan

A fire erupted at a campervan manufacturing workshop in Mokcheon-eup, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, early Wednesday morning, causing significant damage. The blaze, which began around 2 a.m., was brought under control by firefighters nearly three hours later.

Passersby alerted authorities after witnessing the fire, prompting a swift response from the Cheonan Dongnam Fire Station. A total of 15 fire trucks and 40 personnel were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters worked diligently to extinguish the flames, successfully containing the fire by approximately 4:58 a.m.

While no casualties were reported, the fire caused extensive damage. The 170-square-meter workshop building was destroyed, along with eight vehicles parked inside. The destroyed vehicles included one campervan, one truck, and six vans. The exact cause of the fire and the estimated financial damage are currently under investigation by the fire department.
