Fire in Incheon Multi-Family Home Leaves One in Cardiac Arrest, Four Injured

A fire erupted in a multi-family residential building in Incheon, South Korea, leaving five people injured, one critically. The blaze began late Thursday night in a unit on the first floor of a three-story structure located in Okryeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu.

Emergency services responded swiftly, with firefighters deploying 99 personnel and 33 pieces of equipment to combat the flames. The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished approximately 34 minutes after it started. The rapid response likely prevented further escalation of the incident.

Among the injured, a man in his 50s experienced cardiac arrest and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Two other residents sustained severe injuries, while two more suffered minor ones.
