Fifty people were evacuated from a multi-family building in Linköping, Sweden, after a fire broke out early Friday morning. The blaze, which reportedly started in an apartment around 1 a.m. and spread to the attic, was still not under control by 5 a.m., according to Expressen.

The fatalities reportedly happened as individuals attempted to swim across the border, following an interpretation of a Spanish Supreme Court ruling that prevents immediate deportation of sea arrivals.
