Firefighting Foam Engulfs Road Outside Taipei's Nangang High-Speed Rail Station

A section of road outside Taipei's Nangang High-Speed Rail station was blanketed in white foam on Tuesday afternoon following an overflow from the machine room's foam equipment. The incident occurred around 4 p.m., creating a surreal, snowy landscape on the roadway.

The foam spread across an area measuring roughly 20 meters in length and 15 meters in width. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to manage the cleanup operation and assist police with traffic control. The road surface was cordoned off by emergency personnel.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the foam discharge. The Nangang Precinct stated that officers have been sent to the scene and are gathering information from high-speed rail station personnel. The investigation will determine whether the overflow was due to human error or mechanical failure.
