First fuel shipments from China arrive in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan has received its initial fuel shipments from China, marking a new source for the country's energy needs. Video footage circulating on social media shows fuel trucks arriving, confirming the deliveries. This development follows Energy Minister Altynbek Rysbekov's earlier announcement regarding the commencement of these supplies.

The first batches of fuel and lubricants from China have arrived in Kyrgyzstan.

In addition to Chinese fuel, Kyrgyzstan has secured contracts for imports from Belarus. Rysbekov confirmed that logistical challenges concerning transit through Russia have been overcome, and several railcars carrying fuel from Belarus have already reached Kyrgyzstan. The minister also mentioned an existing agreement with Kazakhstan for fuel supplies.

Contracts had been signed for fuel imports from Belarus.

Monthly, Kyrgyzstan expects to receive between 15,000 and 20,000 tonnes of fuel oil. This imported fuel is intended for deep processing at Kyrgyz oil refineries. The refineries can utilize the fuel oil to produce AI 92 gasoline and K4 and K5 environmental class diesel fuel. Efforts are also underway to establish fuel supply arrangements with Uzbekistan, further diversifying Kyrgyzstan's energy sources.

The issue of transit through Russia has been resolved, and several railcars carrying fuel from Belarus have already arrived in Kyrgyzstan.
