First information revealed about the 17th edition of Ljubljana Fashion Week

Ljubljana Fashion Week (LJFW) is gearing up for its 17th edition, scheduled to run from October 7 to 10 at the Marmorna Hall of the Gospodarsko razstavišče. Organizers, led by LJFW director Den Baruca, have unveiled the event's visual identity and conceptual framework.

Sometimes the greatest value of a pause is to take time and think about how to do something better. In recent years, we have gotten to know each other and built trust, and this year we have structured the cooperation much more broadly. It is no longer just a partnership between two brands, but a space where technology, fashion, and creators meet.

A key announcement is the deepened, long-term collaboration with Samsung. This partnership is evolving beyond a standard business agreement, aiming to create a space where technology, fashion, and creative individuals converge. Melinda Rebrek, executive producer of LJFW, explained that this expanded cooperation focuses on fostering greater creativity, connection, and long-term impact.

This year's collaboration with Samsung includes new creations by designer Lan Krebs. He will develop a collection in partnership with the technology company, incorporating recognizable Samsung phone models. Krebs noted that LJFW has been a significant platform for his work, offering not just a showcase but also a sense of dialogue and direction for his development.

Krebs described the evolving challenges of his creative process, moving from a technologically advanced university environment to his current home workshop. He emphasized the need for perseverance and innovation to surpass previous achievements. This year, he is embarking on this journey with Samsung, promising to reveal the details of his collection and its creation in October.

LJFW has been part of my story for many years. Its presence has not only offered me a space to present, but also a sense that my work finds resonance, dialogue, and direction for development. It is a platform that offers a designer much more than a fashion show, it offers community, exchange of ideas, and an opportunity for growth. With each project, expectations are higher. If in the past I created in the environment of the top technologically advanced university The Swedish School of Textiles, today the biggest challenges take place in a completely different space, in a home workshop. Where there are no shortcuts. Where you have to surpass everything you have created before with your own hands, perseverance, and ideas. This year I am embarking on this path together with Samsung.
