First Lady Aigul Japarova Shares Impressions of Kyrchyn Ethno-Village

Kyrgyzstan’s First Lady, Aigul Japarova, visited the Universe of Nomads ethno-village in Kyrchyn and shared photographs and impressions on social media.

She viewed artisans at work and praised their efforts to preserve traditional handicrafts while creating new pieces. “I was particularly pleased by our artisans’ commitment to preserving traditional crafts and continuing to develop them through new creations. Such fairs boost the interest of foreign visitors in their work,” she wrote.

After visiting the fair, Japarova showed the items she had bought, including felt jewelry, a bag and souvenirs made by local craftspeople. Despite the weather, she said, Kyrchyn retained a festive atmosphere.

She described the setting as a meeting place for national culture, kok-boru, equestrian games and traditions, with visitors arriving from several countries. Japarova also wished success to athletes taking part in the World Nomad Games, saying, “May this wonderful atmosphere, which began here in Kyrchyn, once again tell the world about the boundless hospitality of the Kyrgyz people, their rich culture, and their great nomadic spirit.”
