First Lady leads launch of national food bank program in Ogun

Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is set to lead the zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme in Ogun State. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, will see the distribution of food items to vulnerable and indigent residents, bolstering the Federal Government's social intervention efforts.

The programme's commencement at Makun, Sagamu, is anticipated to draw key stakeholders from across the nation. Beyond the food bank launch, Mrs. Tinubu's itinerary includes the commissioning of the 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Abeokuta. She will also inaugurate the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed hospital designed to offer advanced healthcare services to Ogun State and its surrounding communities.

Further engagements include a meeting with stakeholders at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta. This visit underscores the collaborative efforts between the Federal and Ogun State Governments in enhancing social welfare, housing, and healthcare, aiming to improve the quality of life for Nigerians.
