First Lady Melania Trump has launched a significant initiative aimed at supporting children in foster care, announcing a new partnership named "Fostering the Future." This program received a substantial boost with a $2 million gift from IndyCar and Fox Corp., designated to provide new scholarships for foster youth.

The donation will specifically fund scholarships for students pursuing higher education at Indiana University and Purdue University. These institutions join a network of more than two dozen colleges and universities across the United States that participate in the First Lady's Fostering the Future program. During an event held in the White House Rose Garden, Mrs. Trump highlighted the program's goal: to offer foster care youth the opportunity to obtain a college education, launch their careers, and achieve financial independence.

The partnership with IndyCar and Fox Corp. aligns with broader national celebrations, as IndyCar is also sponsoring the Freedom 250 Grand Prix through Washington D.C. in honor of America's 250th anniversary.
