Five Injured in Highway Collision Between Car and Motorcycle in Turkey

A serious traffic accident occurred near the Yenice Junction on the Kütahya-Afyonkarahisar highway, involving a car and a motorcycle. The incident resulted in five individuals sustaining injuries.

The collision happened when a car, driven by O.A. and identified by license plate 43 EA 928, struck a motorcycle operated by E.A., aged 18, with license plate 43 AFC 748. Following the impact, both vehicles veered off the road and tumbled into a roadside ditch from an estimated height of seven meters.

Among the injured were the motorcycle driver E.A. and his passenger M.Ş., aged 16. The car driver O.A. and two passengers in the car, M.E.A., aged 9, and R.A., aged 53, were also hurt. Emergency response teams, including health personnel, police, gendarmerie, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), and firefighters, were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters, AFAD, and medical teams worked to free the injured individuals who were trapped in the car after it fell into the ditch. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, all injured parties were transported by ambulance to Kütahya City Hospital for further medical care. The condition of the motorcycle driver, E.A., is reported as severe. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
