Five wanted men arrested and charged in St. Mary crime sweep

Police in St. Mary, Jamaica, have arrested and charged five men who were wanted in the division for a range of criminal offenses. These arrests are the result of coordinated police operations conducted over the past two weeks and are being hailed as a significant advancement in the division's sustained campaign to curb crime throughout the parish.

Among those apprehended is Alex Cobourne, also known as ‘Lex,’ who faces charges related to a double murder. Other individuals charged include Maleek White, for robbery with aggravation; Marlon James, or ‘Alley Cat,’ for wounding with intent involving a firearm; Chevawn Fullerton, for shooting with intent; and Alex Kerridge, for simple larceny, unauthorized access to computer data, and eight additional offenses.

Superintendent Anthony Wallace, the commanding officer for the St. Mary Police Division, asserted that these arrests clearly demonstrate the police's commitment to pursuing criminals relentlessly. "The arrests send a clear message that criminals will be relentlessly pursued," Wallace stated, reinforcing the division's zero-tolerance approach to illegal activities.
