FK Banga Extends Winning Streak to Eight, Returns to Second Place

FK Banga continued their impressive form, securing their eighth consecutive victory with a 3-1 win against TransINVEST. This crucial win allowed Banga to reclaim second place in the Lithuanian A Lyga, accumulating 30 points and drawing level with Džiugas and Sūduva in the league table.

The match saw an early goal in the 8th minute from Sid Praleika, whose sharp pass into the penalty area found the net directly from a corner. Despite conceding, the home team, TransINVEST, took the initiative. Mykolas Musolitinus had a strong shot that went over the crossbar, but their pressure paid off in the 37th minute when Musolitinus delivered a sharp cross from the wing, met by Xabi Auzmendi's header to equalize.

Both teams exchanged dangerous moments in the early part of the second half. Julius Virvilas made a save from Dominykas Barauskas's header attempt, while Gargždai's Igno Venckus saw his shot blocked by V. Krynskis.
