Flávio and Michelle Bolsonaro appear together for first time since family feud

Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro and his stepmother, Michelle Bolsonaro, made their first joint public appearance since a family rift surfaced, signaling a potential reconciliation ahead of the October elections.

The son and wife of former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2022) participated in the recording of electoral propaganda at the Liberal Party (PL) headquarters in Brasilia. Michelle Bolsonaro commented on the appearance, stating, "We put the disagreements aside... What family is perfect? Raise your hand if you don't have problems in the family." She added that they had set aside their differences to unite "for something much greater," referring to the election where the right aims to defeat the current progressive president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

In June, Michelle Bolsonaro had publicly accused Flávio of mistreatment and humiliation within the party's management, stating she could not support a candidate who had not sought her backing. She also announced her resignation from the presidency of the PL's women's section to care for her husband, who has faced health issues and is under house arrest following a conviction for an attempted coup.

Michelle's earlier statements had caused significant disruption to Flávio's campaign, which has struggled to attract female voters.
