Florida Primaries 2026: Early Voting Deadline Approaches

Florida voters are gearing up for the 2026 primary elections, and key dates for the electoral calendar have been established. A crucial period for participation is the early voting phase, allowing citizens to cast their ballots before the official election day.

According to Florida's Division of Elections, the mandatory early voting period for the 2026 primaries is scheduled from August 8 to August 15. During this week, all counties across the state are required to offer early voting, with August 15 marking the final guaranteed day to vote in this manner.

While this period is mandatory, individual counties have the flexibility to extend early voting. They can offer additional days starting up to 15 days before the primary and concluding up to two days prior to the in-person election. This means the availability of early voting might differ based on a voter's specific county of residence.

The state primary election is set for August 18, 2026. For those preferring to vote by mail, applications must be submitted to the Supervisor of Elections in their registered county. The deadline for voter registration or any changes to party affiliation is July 20, 2026.
