The changes involve key ministerial positions and reflect the Communist Party's ongoing focus on strengthening governance and administrative efficiency.

Among the key decisions, Đỗ Thanh Bình was relieved of his duties as Minister of Home Affairs, with his tenure ending on July 20, 2026. Concurrently, Nguyễn Tiến Hải, formerly the Party Secretary of An Giang Province, was appointed as the acting Minister of Home Affairs. This move signals a strategic redeployment of experienced officials to critical administrative roles.

In another significant appointment, Nguyễn Hoài Anh, who previously served as Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hóa Province, was transferred and named Permanent Deputy Minister of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs. Prime Minister Hưng emphasized the importance of these changes, particularly in light of Vietnam's complex geopolitical landscape and the nation's commitment to implementing the resolutions of the 14th Party Congress. The Prime Minister stressed the need for practical and effective implementation of government directives, especially during the challenging final six months of the year, as outlined by General Secretary and President Tô Lâm.
