Focus stock: Getac rallies 7.55% on strong buying and heavy volume

Getac Technology defied a falling broader market on strong buying, briefly hitting the daily limit at NT$45.15. The stock stood at NT$44.15 by 12:14 p.m., up 7.55%, with 4,303 lots changing hands.

The company is targeting growth in optical communications and continues to build its supply-chain ecosystem in Singapore and Malaysia. Getac said it has more than 18 years of experience producing optical transceiver modules, covering precision packaging, advanced printed circuit board assembly, optoelectronic integration and system assembly.

It plans to expand opportunities linked to high-speed optical communications and AI data centers, offering customers manufacturing support from product development and engineering validation through mass production.

Last month, Getac signed memorandums of understanding with Malaysian industrial-space solutions provider AME and Singapore's JTC, the agency responsible for industrial master planning and infrastructure development. The agreements formally launched its two-core strategy tied to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.
