Football: 3:1 success - Fürth wins test against Bamberg

SpVgg Greuther Fürth achieved a 3-1 victory over Eintracht Bamberg in their third test match within seven days. The German football club, competing in the second division, found the net through Paul Will in the 8th minute, Shinta Appelkamp in the 17th, and Aaron Keller in the 23rd minute. Eintracht Bamberg had initially taken the lead in the 6th minute with a goal from Tim Gensichen.

This win follows a mixed record in previous test games against regional league opponents. Fürth had previously lost 0-1 to SpVgg Bayreuth and won 3-0 against SC Eltersdorf. Notably, defender Philipp Ziereis, a key player, was absent from these matches as he recently transferred to Melbourne Victory in Australia.

Coach Heiko Vogel is entering his second season with Greuther Fürth. The team narrowly secured their place in the league last season through relegation playoffs, and Vogel is aiming for a more stable and successful upcoming campaign.
