Football fever to dominate Sweden's 'Allsång på Skansen' summer show

This summer's "Allsång på Skansen," the beloved Swedish sing-along show, is set to embrace a fervent football fever, aligning its programming with the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Host Pernilla Wahlgren has announced plans to infuse the shows with a significant number of World Cup-related songs, aiming to capture the national excitement surrounding the tournament.

"We will try to fit in as many World Cup songs as possible at the beginning," Wahlgren stated. The official Swedish World Cup song, "Leva för alltid" by Thomas Stenström, is confirmed to be performed on the show. Stenström will also perform Orup's "Då står pojkarna på rad" during his appearance.

The show's schedule deliberately overlaps with several World Cup matches, creating a unique dynamic. Wahlgren humorously acknowledged the potential competition, joking about facing Portugal's match against Uzbekistan in the premiere on June 23rd. "I think unfortunately I will lose that match," she quipped, adding that SVT Play would be available for viewers.

The artist lineup promises a diverse range of talent, including Hooja, Felicia, Basshunter & Käärijä, De Vet Du, Petra Marklund, Sanna Nielsen, Naod & Greekazo, Infinite Mass, Valter Nilsson, Tove Styrke, Lilla Al Fadji, Noll2, Sten & Stanley, Peg Parnevik, Simon Superti, Medina, Greczula, Staffan Hellstrand, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Fanny Avonne, Familjen, Stor och Anna Carolina, Svullo (Fredrik Lexfors), and The Ark, among others. Wahlgren expressed hope for more international guest stars, recalling the success of Rick Astley's appearance last year, and hinted at further surprises and spontaneous additions to the lineup.
